Founded in 1976, Almerimar Golf Club is located within a diverse residential complex. The marina and beaches are situated along the coast, while the hotel, sports facilities, and apartments are located inland. Situated approximately 14 km from Roquetas de Mar, Almerimar stands out from the surrounding landscape thanks to its lush green gardens.
The course, designed by Gary Player, features wide fairways and abundant vegetation that shades the fairways and makes the approach to the greens more challenging. The greens are fast and large, backed by ample bunkers. Water hazards are a defining feature of many holes. One of the most distinctive on the course is the 12th, a par 3 whose green is located on a small island within a lake. A precise shot is essential.
