The Levante Almeriense is a Spanish region located in the eastern part of the province of Almería. This territory borders the Almería regions of Los Vélez to the northwest, the Almanzora Valley to the west, the Filabres-Tabernas to the southwest, and the Almería Metropolitan Area to the south, as well as the Murcian region of Alto Guadalentín to the north. It has access to the Mediterranean Sea to the east.
It comprises thirteen municipalities, the most populated and largest of which is Huércal-Overa; conversely, the least populated municipality is Bédar, and the smallest in area is Garrucha. Its traditional and historical capital is the town of Huércal-Overa.
