This Mediterranean coastal region is the extension of eastern Spain into Andalusian territory. Bordering Murcia to the north, the Almeria Levante
stretches between the coast and the sloping hinterland. It is home to mountain ranges such as the Sierra de Bédar, Cabrera, and Almagrera, as well as
fertile valleys where an abundance of fruit and vegetables is grown. This is an area where the sun shines year-round and where you can enjoy the
beach even when winter covers European shores with its icy blanket. A paradise nourished by rivers flowing into the sea, along a light-filled
coastline that seems to have inspired one of Sorolla's oil paintings. This corner of the Andalusian Mediterranean, coveted by numerous peoples since
ancient times, remains a privileged location today. This exceptional coastal region of the Levante is renowned for its landscape, climate, towns,
beaches, and, last but not least, the hospitality of its people, who are accustomed to welcoming everyone who comes. The high sunshine duration, with
an annual average of 322 cloudless days and 3,035 hours of sunshine, represents the Almería coast's great tourist asset.

How to get there: Levante Almeriense is easily accessible by motorway. It is one of the best-connected areas in the province.
The A-7 Mediterranean motorway crosses the region from north to south, connecting the Andalusian coast, the city of Almería, the port with its cruise
ships, and the airport with the eastern part of the Iberian Peninsula. This motorway intersects the A-92 to the north, the main artery of Andalusian
road traffic, connecting the coastal region to the interior of the province and the rest of Spain.
