Sun and sand → The eastern coast
|
The diversity of landscapes and the uneven profile of the coast give eastern Almería its own character and are undoubtedly its greatest attraction
for tourists. This coastal strip, stretching from the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Reserve to the border of the province of Murcia, offers tourists a
wide variety of attractions, from wide, golden sandy beaches to steep cliffs with small, hidden coves. This orography lends a special character to
fishing villages like Garrucha and Mojácar, which stand white and unpolluted at high altitudes above the sea.

Las Marinas-Bolagas |
In addition to the four Blue Flag beaches – one in Vera (Las Marinas-Bolagas), one in Garrucha, and two more in Carboneras (El Ancón and Los
Barquicos), there are numerous unspoiled areas, such as Los Muertos Beach and Cala Cristal, which, for obvious reasons, are ideal settings for
nudism. Specifically, Playazo de Vera has a designated nudist area, with hotels and facilities that welcome tourists from all over Europe. Natural
attractions such as the Terrenos and Negra Islands, both in Pulpí, and the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Nature Reserve give an idea of the tranquility that
can be enjoyed in this part of the province. If you're looking for less peace and quiet, you can visit golf courses, such as the original Dessert
Spring Golf in Cuevas del Almanzora, sip a coffee at the Garrucha marina, or enjoy activities such as diving, water skiing, or hiking.
