The region is surrounded by the Los Filabres Mountains, considered the main lung of Almería because of the abundance of forests, the Sierra de las Estancias and the Lúcar Mountains, all with beech, pine and holm oak forests. From here, the beautiful natural landscapes and wild corners, where the streams and waterfalls are the main protagonists, extend to the various towns of the district, an attraction for lovers of nature and the environment. In Olula del Río, for example, you can hike and reach the so-called Cerrá de Olula or Pinatar Mountain Park. In Urrácal, those visitors who like to be in nature without giving up the amenities offered in the resort area of this place will feel more comfortable. There are also others in Purchena, that of Silveria, Lúcar, that of Poveda, and in Serón, that of Jordana and Jorvila.
